MEACH
**Dramitrius "Meach" Murray: The Hybrid M.C.**
Dramitrius Murray, better known as Meach, is a versatile Hip-Hop artist with a unique blend of R&B and Soul influences, making him a true "Hybrid M.C." Originally born in New York City and later relocating to Grand Rapids, Michigan, Meach began his journey in music early on. By the age of nine, he was already creating his own sounds in his basement, combining two drum sets and rapping over his own beats. His creative beginnings ignited a lifelong passion that continues to fuel his music today.
Meach’s artistry is difficult to pin down; his music crosses multiple genres and moods, making him adaptable and broad in style. "Music should never be limited to just one box," he says, a philosophy that is clear in the diverse range of emotions his songs evoke—from "hot and spicy" to "sweet, sour, and bitter." This diversity allows him to move fluidly between genres, capturing the essence of Hip-Hop, R&B, and Soul in a way that resonates with listeners from all walks of life.
One of the most impactful compliments Meach has received is that his music stands out entirely from the mainstream. Embracing his individuality, he wouldn’t have it any other way. His live shows are equally as distinctive—high-energy experiences with lots of lights, dancers, and crowd interaction. Audiences leave feeling fully entertained, immersed in his captivating and "extremely high-octane" performances.
Meach’s music is often compared to legends like DMX, Nas, Tupac, Busta Rhymes, and LL Cool J, influences he humbly acknowledges as shaping his sound. Yet, he infuses his style with his own flair, creating a blend that’s unmistakably his own. His first release, "Ambition," produced by King Kaution, is coming soon and will be his official debut as a solo artist, following his time with the group Nappy Head Assassins, which was awarded Grand Rapids’ "Hip-Hop Group of the Year."
Beyond the stage and studio, Meach is committed to giving back to his community. He aims to support causes like inner-city youth programs and Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, seeing his success as an opportunity to uplift others. With his upcoming project, *Method to My Madness,* Meach is ready to bring his music to new heights, expanding his reach and leaving an indelible mark on Hip-Hop and beyond.
